temperament and play style for a safer interaction.

Things
to Bring
-
Please bring an ample supply of your dog's food (and treats). Dogs are very sensitive to changes in their diets and we don't want their tummies getting upset. All food must be in Ziploc or airtight containers, labeled with any feeding instructions and your dog's name.
-
We encourage you to bring personal belongings and toys that will help your doggy adapt to their new surroundings. A blanket or favorite toy will likely put them at ease and make their stay much more enjoyable. All personal items will be kept in their suite.
-
Any medication must be in a safe container with your dog's name and administration instructions included.
-
Waggs-And-Woofs only serves premium spring water and food to our guests. We use and recommend Eagle Pack Holistic Select premium dog food. Any guest who is currently eating this food will gladly be served it at no extra charge.
Admissions We reserve the right to deny admittance to dogs lacking proof of vaccinations, and/or dogs displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, and/or aggressive behavior. Minimum age for all services is 4 months of age and vaccinations current.
Health All pets arriving must be in good health with vaccination records current. Any pet with signs of pest infestations will be bathed and dipped at the owners expense. Any pet requiring medical attention will be taken to the veterinarian. Charges will be at the owners expense. Every effort will be taken to contact the owner prior to treatment.
Required Vaccinations The essential vaccinations for your dog are as follows:Rabies,1 or 3 year(puppies six months of age) DHLPP, Bordetella (administered within the previous 6 months ,and more than 14 days prior to a boarding reservation). Negative Fecal Exam within the last 3 months. All vaccination records must be from a licensed veterinarian. Additionally we require that you maintain a year-round treatment for ticks and fleas in order to protect our facility from any contamination and thus protect all of our guests. We recommend topical solutions such as Frontline and Advantage. These products are available over the counter or from your veterinarian. We do not suggest collar prevention methods. Please talk to your veterinarian about your options and frequency of treatment. All dogs over the age of 7 months must be Spayed/Neutered to participate in daycare.
*Bordetella is a vaccination to help prevent a condition known as "canine cough". It has shown that this vaccination has little protection after six months, thus we require that it be administered within the six months prior to a boarding, daycare,or spa visit. It has also been a known fact that the vaccination can cause a break through and actually cause a mild form of canine cough so it is advisable that all Bordetella vaccinations be given a minimum of two weeks(14 days) prior to any visit or stay. Please note that Bordetella is a virus family of over 200 strains and that all vaccinations on the market today only cover about 30 of the most common strains. Bordetella vaccinations do not guarantee any protection from this virus, but it does help if the strains encountered are of the most common variety. Waggs-And-Woofs takes care to make sure that all dogs are vaccinated against canine cough, but we DO NOT take responsibility for any break through, or outbreaks in this large family of virus.
Spa
Services
Although a
veterinarian is the most qualified person to provide a medical opinion,
the extra attention paid to a dog receiving a spa treatment can help
reveal a potential skin, coat and muscle problem that could adversely
affect the dog's health.
Pawdicure
A pawdicure typically
includes nail trimming but at Waggs-And-Woofs we take it a step further. In addition to trimming nails we file the nails smooth.
We also wrap each paw in warm moist cloths then massaging the pads with
a special moisturizing paw balm. This provides a soothing experience
that may help a dog feel less fearful about his next trimming.
Remember our 4-legged friends don't wear shoes and the summer
(hot pavement) and winter (ice/salt) are very hard on their sensitive
paws.
Bath
Waggs-And-Woofs is ready to pamper your precious pup. Our
spa offers many soothing baths to choose from. We are proud to use only all
natural products and hand dry all our pups. There are several spa
packages to delight our canine clients.
All services are performed in a spa-like atmosphere while listening
to soothing music. Regular bathing, ear cleaning, and brushing of the
teeth are always recommended for your pets overall health. Currently
we do not offer cuts or shave downs.
The
Furminator
Love your pup but hate the shedding? Waggs-And-Woofs uses
the Furminator for deshedding treatments. You will notice much less
shedding in your home, which will also help with cleanliness and help
those that suffer from allergies. Any dog that sheds can benefit, either
long or short coats. This treatment does not cut the fur but generally
removes the undercoat without damaging the topcoat.
Canine
Shuttle Service
Leave the driving to us. We're well
aware that you lead a busy lifestyle. And our goal is to support you
and your pooch so you can focus on your job, tend to your errands, meetings,
appointments, and other obligations. That's why we offer the Canine

and drop-off service to help alleviate some of the burdens in your life.
